Vascular endothelial growth factor does exactly what it sounds like…promotes the growth of vascular (i.e. blood carrying) endothelial (i.e. vessel lining) cells. In a tumour situation, this allows new blood vessels to grow into the tumour and provide nutrients and oxygen to the growing tumour. With this info, you should be able to work out the answer.
