Yesterday was an extra special day, the wedding of PhD student Valentina Iorio to her new husband , Chris.

It was an amazing day in the countryside around Capua. The church was a stunning little 12 century chapel. Vale was incredibly beautiful and her usual smiley self. Here she is being led to the altar by her father.

The reception was equally amazing; fabulous food, welcoming people, great wine, cheese, craft beer. Just wow!! Start to finish the most incredible wedding I’ve ever been to! I felt incredibly proud and lucky to be involved in such a special day and to get the chance to mark such an important part of my student’s life!
