Profs Colin Willoughby, George Bou Gharios and myself have an exciting PhD project supported by Fight For Sight open to applications now. The project will aim to dissect the molecular mechanisms behind the build up of introcular pressure in glaucoma and will determine if a new treatment option can be developed that would halt progression of the disease. It’s an excellent project in which there is real opportunity for significant advances and where the student pursuing it will develop skills in cutting edge techniques. The project is based in Liverpool in the brand new Apex building (see my other posts for pics)
